The Wayside Inn is a lovely and historic complex spread out over several acres. There is the Inn itself dating back to the 1700s which is open to the public (fun period rooms upstairs and restaurant downstairs), a small formal garden to the right of the Inn and a pond in behind. A short (3 minute) walk away is the much photographed Grist Mill and a larger picturesque pond (in behind), the little red school house and the Martha Mary chapel, a white steepled little church straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting. You can walk to the Mill site, or drive and park. |

The Newton Watercolor Society (NWS) was founded in 2008 to provide opportunities for artistic development for professional and amateur watercolor artists.
