Description

Several years after retiring, I was looking at the Cambridge Adult Center catalog and came across a conveniently timed class; it happened to be a watercolor class taught by Gary Tucker.  In no time I was hooked to watercolor painting.

Despite having been an architect involved with the urban fabric, my interest in painting is focused on people and objects.  I love combining an attempt to be true to the object in front of me and letting the water surprise me and “going with the flow.”  Painting provides moments when I can retreat from the crush of world problems.  Although I frequently am disappointed with the product, it is primarily the process that I relish, and not the resultant painting.
