Thomas Schaller is a signature member of many art organizations including the AWS and has won many prizes world-wide. He is famous for his luminous and colorful paintings full of atmosphere and value contrasts.
Participants experimented with a variety of tools to paint, including brayers, eye-droppers, and sprayers, and created paintings without brushes. They explored a variety of removal techniques used in mono-printing, discovered the patterns created by applying textured materials such as sponges, Kleenex, lace, and corrugated cardboard to both dry an wet paint.
Our “Color Pouring and Blending” workshop with Lian Quan Zhen was impressive because of his techniques and teaching ability.
