This Spring we enjoyed a really outstanding workshop with Wendy Artin here in Newton. It was a very interactive workshop, where short demos alternated with participant exercises throughout two days. Each day we honed our figure painting skills by focusing on the shaded body surfaces of each of the models. During the daily still life portion, we practiced painting vegetables with a wet-on-wet/take-off technique on white Canson Mi-Teintes paper – what a perfect combination! Wendy is an excellent teacher who provided continuous feed-back and made those fully-packed days very comfortable and inspiring.
