 Artist Statement:  Born in Rajasthan, India, I did my graduation from Savitri College, Ajmer, a grooming center for artists under the able guidance of well known Indian artist Mrs. Dipika Hazra. I did my masters in Fine arts from D.A.V College, Ajmer and ranked Second in the class of 1978 of Rajasthan University. I have taught Fine Art in colleges and schools. I have traversed across the globe and have been inspired by the landscapes around the globe and I enjoy painting them. I am fascinated by the ancient ways of making art and have been on a mission to revive the age-old process of watercolor painting known as Wash Painting from east India, which is over a century old. 

Awards and Achievements:                 

1. Participated in IWS workshop in year 2018 

2.Selected work displayed in 38 Annual Art Exhibition of Rajasthan Lalit Kala Academy 

3. Received award in 9th Art Festival held by Lalit Kala Academy
4. 74 Annual All India Art exhibition 2002 and 2004 AIFACS.                              
5. Work selected by Camlin Art Foundation Educators’s art exhibition                         
6. Participated in Women Artists of Rajasthan Exhibition on Women’s Day 4 years in a row                                         7. Solo exhibition Piscataway New Jersey USA                         
7. Participated in Kalidas Academy Ujjain exhibition for three years. 
8. Awarded II nd prize in 31st All India Police Duty Art Meet, 1987.                     

A freelance artist based in Jaipur, held many solo exhibitions & participated in many juried exhibitions in New Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Chandigarh.
