SUMMARY:September 2024 Member Exhibit at Suzuki School of Newton
DESCRIPTION:  \nAn opportunity for NWS members at the  \nSuzuki School of Newton \nAs many of you might know\, Suzuki School of Music in Waban and Newton Watercolor Society collaborate in showcasing the artwork of our members through the year. We share the space on a quarterly basis with Newton Art Association. \nWe invite you to display your works of art at Suzuki School starting from September 3rd\, 2024 – January 2nd\, 2025. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our members to have their Art on display in this beautiful location. There is NO fee to enter\, and members can submit up to two paintings each. We will offer the spots on a first come\, first serve basis. There will be a Member’s Choice Award presented at the reception. Please click HERE to fill out the form on our website to enter today. \nFraming: \n\nArtwork must be framed and ready to hang.\nUp to two paintings per artist\nLabel back of artwork with: Artist name\, title\n\nEligibility: \n\nOpen to all members of Newton Watercolor Society\nAll work must be painted with aqua media including watercolor\, acrylic\, casein\, egg tempera\, gouache and inks on unvarnished paper or synthetic paper/yupo\nOriginal artwork only (no copies)\n\nPlease drop off on September 3rd and pick up on January 2nd between 10 am and Noon. \nThe address is 1615 Beacon Street\, Waban\, MA

DESCRIPTION:Upcoming Workshop:\n\nCarrie Waller\n\nThree-day workshop: October 31 – November 2\, 2024\n\nTime: 9am – 4pm\n\nFee: $380\n\nLocation: The First Unitarian Universalist Society in Newton\n\nAddress: 1326 Washington Street\, West Newton\, MA\n\nPlease sign-up HERE.\nNewton Watercolor Society is excited to announce an upcoming 3-Day workshop with wonderfully talented watercolor artist Carrie Waller. \nCarrie is a watercolor artist working in a realistic\, detailed style.  Her studies in Interior Design and Graphic Design as well as her time spent living in Europe and Asia have influenced her as an artist.  Carrie currently works from her Arkansas studio after returning from Tokyo\, Japan where she resided for the last 8 years. Her unique works are bold\, vibrant\, and dramatic. \nCarrie has won numerous awards and has been published in many publications. Her works are exhibited all over the world. Most recently she won Best of Show in the 2023 Women in Watercolor International Competition.  She is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society\, National Watercolor Society\, Louisiana Watercolor Society\, Mid-Southern Watercolorists\, American Women Artists\, San Diego Watercolor Society\, and the Watercolor Honor Society.  She teaches workshops\, online and in person\, and is an ambassador for Daniel Smith Watercolors. \n       \nFor more information about Carrie and to see her work\, please look up:\nwww.carriewallerfineart.com
