DESCRIPTION:Please submit your Member Show Application HERE to have your work of art displayed in the Main Floor Gallery at Newton City Hall from December 1st through January 3rd. Each member is invited to submit up to two paintings. Please drop off your paintings on Thursday November 30th from 10:00-12:00 at the Newton City Hall. \nThe reception will be on December 11th from 6pm-7:30pm.

SUMMARY:Saturday Art: The Creation of Children's books by Stuart J. Murphy
DESCRIPTION:While a bit off the beaten track for a watercolor society program\, we thought that some of our members might be interested in a presentation on creating children’s books. Fortunately\, we have just the person to lead this session. NWS Board Member Stuart Murphy is the author of a total of 80 children’s books\, all of which are currently in print. This 90-minute program will focus on several topics related to the development of children’s books. These will include: The process of creating a children’s book\, developing a series\, and getting published.
