SUMMARY:Painting Waterscapes: Sparkle and Shine
DESCRIPTION:Host: Nancy DuVergne Smith \nWater is a tantalizing subject for artists. We are drawn intuitively to bodies of water\, yet it is an elusive substance\, at times transparent\, translucent\, reflective\, or fractured. We’ll examine various water surfaces and then pay particular attention to the characteristics of calm\, undulating bodies of water and the sparkles of light reflected from streams. \nFor more\, visit Nancy’s website.

SUMMARY:Feedback Opportunity aka Art Critique
DESCRIPTION:Join us to this Saturday when we would like to give you feedback to your paintings. Please take a picture of your painting with your mobile phone and have it ready in your computer to share it with our member Paul Alie via Zoom. \nFrom Paul Alie’s website: Paul paints primarily in transparent watercolor and sometimes adds acrylic inks for textural effect. Subject matter is varied but many paintings reflect his love of the New England and Southwest landscapes. He enjoys rendering subjects that provide opportunities for  textural experimentation such as pottery\, rocks or old baskets. He is a Signature Member of the New England Watercolor Society and also exhibits with the Newton Art Association and the Newton Watercolor Society and other regional venues. His works have been selected for juried shows and recognized with awards\, He lives in Newton\, MA and teaches watercolor painting at the New Art Center including remote online classes with recorded demonstrations and live suggestions on works in progress.
