Join Gitty on a daytrip to see the fabulous William Turner (1775 -1851) exhibit in Mystic, CT – the only place in the US where this special collection of 97 paintings will be exhibited. The exhibition spans the entirety of Turner’s long career and is focusing on his watercolors. This exhibition is organized in cooperation with the Tate Gallery in London. It is daily open from 9am – 5pm until February 23, 2020.
Our itinerary:
Saturday, February 1, 2020: 8:40am Amtrak train from South Station
Train ride is 1hr24min, arriving 10:04 in Mystic
15 minute walk from train station to Mystic Seaport Museum or taking an Uber
Enjoy exhibit there, lunch, museum; available time: 4.5hrs
Train back from Mystic to Boston South Station at 3:46pm, arriving at 5:22pm
Tickets each way are $30, and entrance is $28.95 ($26.96 for 65+),
so overall cost is $88.95
